This area helps to create a place where children can participate in educational activities. Thought provoking games, puzzles, books and manipulative toys are included in this area to encourage development of cognitive skills.

Early writing begins with fine motor and multi-sensory activities such as using different writing instruments like crayons, or paint brushes etc. Motivation to write begins at the age of 4 with the program “Handwriting Without Tears.” Children learn to write in a stress free fun environment.

The love of reading is an essential part of learning. All children are motivated to learn to read by the introduction of letters, sounds and words. Activities that reinforce basic skills necessary to learn to read are presented in a developmental and fun manner.

Science helps children develop observation, prediction, investigation, and evaluation skills as they engage in hands-on activities and experiments. These skills help children understand cause and effect.

Math helps children make sense of their world by exploring concepts like numbers, shapes, patterns, measurement, and spatial relationships.

Independent self-help skills are encouraged. Good toileting training habits and cleanliness are stressed. Parents and staff work together through toilet training programs.

This area contains all types of art material to encourage creative play (i.e. easel, paint, paper, glue, thick crayons, Play-doh, etc,). Our art program is designed so children can explore their creativty and express themselves.

Physical activity and recreational skills are encouraged. Our modern state of the art outdoor playground with a safety surface provides an exceptional activity center. A soft surface track, which surrounds the playground, is an exciting and safe place to ride trikes and cars or just to walk or run.

Children are introduced to various aspects of the physical world in an interesting and entertaining manner. This area has ever-change exhibits appropriate to the children’s interest and units covered.

Smart board lessons and activities offer visibility and interactive learning to promote attending skills and participation.
